Talk – Joseph Beuys: The man, his art and his world view

Cliff Gorman will explore Joseph Beuys’ influences and influence. Cliff Gorman is a prominent UK-based lecturer, researcher, and educator who specialises in the life, art, and philosophy of the influential German artist Joseph Beuys. Beuys, one of the most important artists in the 1970/80s, was a pioneering 20th-century conceptual artist, social activist, and co-founder of the German Green Party, who is famous for his concept of “social sculpture” and the idea that “everyone is an artist.” Cliff has dedicated over three decades to studying Beuys.
